People with Disabilities - This organisation is a major disability organisation representing the rights and needs of all Western Australians with intellectual, physical or psychriatric disabilities.

 

State/Territory Disability and Related Organisations - this is a driectory of contact details for Disability related organisations in Western Australia.

 

Activ Foundation - an organisation that aims to provide a variety of services to help people living with a disability achieve a better quality of life.

  

Cerebal Palsy Association - are a charity who provide services for those living with cerebral palsy in Western Australia. Services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, respite care. This site is wel worth a look.

 

Carers WA - a non for profit orgainsation that is devoted to improving the lives of family carers in WA. Services offered include counselling, education and training, social support and hospital programs

Family Planning Association WA (FPWA) - provides services,training and information for Western Australian men and women in sexual health.

 

Home and Community Care (HACC) program - (A part of the Dept of Health) This site gives an overview of this extensive funding program and there is a download for an alphabetical services directory see the side menu under Services Directory.

 

Tenants Advices Service WA - TAS is a community legal centre which provides advice/information to rpublic or private residential tenants as well as Perth community workers.

 

Western Australian AIDS Council - provides a wide range of services to help with the prevention of HIV as well as the treatment and care of people living with HIV/AIDS.

 

 

DRUG AND ALCOHOL

 

Drug and Alcohol Office - provides a network of services in Western Austalia that relate to the prevention, treatment, education, training and research of Alcohol and drugs.

 

Western Australian Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies (WANADA) - provides services to help improve the quality of life for people who are affected by alcohol or drugs.

Community Legal Centres Association WA - is an organisation representing the 28 Community Legal Centres (CLCs) operating in Western Australia. Financial Counsellors Resource Project - The Financial Counsellors Resource Project (FCRP) provides a support service to Financial Counsellors and Department for Child Protection (DCP) staff in Western Australia. They have a great list of publications that are free or downloadable, a Financial Counselling Services Directory (updated biannually) and a comprehensive list of other agencies on their useful links page

 

Legal Aid Commission of Western Australia - this site provides general information about the law in Western Australia. For a specific legal problem they recommend contacting/seeing a lawyer.

 

National Assocation of Community Legal Centres - an independent non for profit organisation. It provides free legal services to the general public.
